The Ring-tailed lemur (Lemur catta) has a very distinctive bushy tail with alternating bands of black and white rings. Lemurs are found solely on the island of Madagascar, an island off of southeast Africa. They prefer more open areas and are vegetations. Riverbanks Zoo, Columbia, SC. (Controlled conditions)
